Accessibility in Israel - Now and Then

Today Israel is one of the leading countries in the field of accessibility. Israel started as an inaccessible country, but over the years it has become very accessible. Israel is in a much better place now, but there is still a lot to be done. Access Israel organization works regularly to identify the challenges of tomorrow and promote accessibility to make Israel fully accessible and inclusive.

Accessible benches in Modiin Maccabim Reut
The municipality has placed wheelchair-friendly benches in parks around the city.
These benches are uniquely designed so that next to the usual seats, there is a dedicated place that is suitable for a wheelchair and thus allows for sitting comfortably and pleasantly next to others.
